Visiting any church for the first time can be an overwhelming experience. We want to put you at ease. When you first visit Sun View, expect to be greeted with a spirit of being a part of our family. Be prepared to hear inspiring music, helpful teaching, and dynamic preaching. Below you will find answers to many of the questions you may have as a guest at our church.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT ON MY FIRST VISIT?
You can’t miss the campus on 2200 Highway 33. We are meeting at the Valley Intermediate School. Our parking attendants will help you find a place to park. As you enter the main worship center, one of our hospitality greeters from the Welcome Center will be happy to direct you to the different activities on the campus. You will find that Sun View has something for everyone in your family.
WHEN ARE YOUR SERVICES?
Sunday Service Times:
Adult and Children Bible Classes – 9:45 am
Morning Service –11:00 am
Evening Service – 6:00 pm
Wednesday Service:
Bible Study – 7:00 pm
HOW DO GET THERE?
Sun View Baptist Church is located southwest of Birmingham. Sun View is conveniently located just 2.5 miles off of Interstate 65. We are meeting at the Valley Intermediate School in Pelham, Alabama.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
We want you to be comfortable while you are visiting, so what you wear is your choice. There is not a dress code at Sun View Baptist for members or guests. You can dress up or dress down; either way is totally acceptable.
WHERE DO I PARK?
Our guests are treated to the best parking spots on campus, directly in front of the front entrance of the church. Our parking lot attendants will help you find your spot.
WHAT IS AVAILABLE FOR MY CHILDREN AND TEENS?
Sun View provides services and activities for youth of all ages. They will learn Biblical principles through age-appropriate teaching and experience tons of fun at the same time! First class nursery services are also available for all services. It is an exciting and memorable time for everyone!
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT FROM YOUR SERVICES?
You will be given a brochure that will make you aware of events taking place at Sun View. Services are truly a dynamic experience. You will hear inspiring music performed by various soloists, ensembles, and choirs. The music is followed by a clear and purposeful Bible message presented by Pastor Mark Boyd. Each message provides practical methods to deal with real-life, real-time issues. The service is approximately one hour in duration.
WHO IS PASTOR MARK BOYD?
Dr. Mark Boyd has been the Senior Pastor of Sun View Baptist Church since 2001. He has been the pastor of Sun View thoughout its entirety.
I’M IN A WHEELCHAIR. WHERE DO I GO?
Wheelchair access and seating is available. Our facilities are all on one level. Our ushers will be happy to help you locate seating for yourself and anyone who is accompanying you.
